Timeline and start times

On the day board, jobs are arranged on a vertical timeline so start-time differences are easy to see — most jobs at 7 AM, a few slid to 8 AM. This page explains how the timeline works and how to change when a job starts.

How the timeline is laid out

The day is divided into 15-minute slots with hour labels down the left. Each job card sits at its effective start time: either the job's default start time or a one-day override you've set. Two jobs starting at the same time sit side by side in that slot.

The visible hour range follows your workspace settings but automatically stretches to fit any early or late jobs.

Changing a job's start time for one day

To slide a job to a different time on the selected date:

  1. Grab the job card by its drag handle (the grip icon on the left of the card).
  2. Drag it up or down to the time slot you want.
  3. Release — the time snaps to the nearest 15 minutes and is saved as a start-time override for that date only.

This changes only the selected day. The job's default start time stays the same for every other day. Start-time overrides also travel along when you copy a schedule.

Jobs with no start time

Jobs that don't have a start time yet gather in an Unscheduled section below the timeline. Drag one up onto a time slot to place it, or leave it unscheduled until plans firm up.

Adding a job to the day

Switch the sidebar to the Jobs tab to see your job pool, then drag a job onto the timeline to add it to the day at that time. Once it's on the board, assign crew as usual — see Assigning crew.
